Tom Mouna is a writer, editor, DJ, organiser and strategist. He was a Curatorial Assistant at Red Brick Art Museum Beijing and Project Lead at M Woods Museum Beijing, where he conceptualised, built and managed the multidisciplinary art and nightclub space guī. He was the Beijing Editor of ArtAsiaPacific magazine, Art & Music Editor at TimeOut Beijing and his writing has been published in Frieze, Art Review, Kaleidoscope, Tank, AQNB, zweikommasieben, 黑齿, this is tomorrow, Radii, and more. Tom curated the first exhibition and published the first book focused on Grime music in China and is a founding member of The Nightlife Residency, which has hosted two editions in Beijing and one in Lithuania. He is a founder of the record label DCYY/到此一游, which has released two charity compilations featuring over forty global musicians. Mouna Press has DJed across Europe and Asia including on NTS and has organised parties which have hosted artists such as Klein, Howie Lee, Foodman (食品まつり), felicita, Bonaventure, Bruce, Gigsta, Yikii, Akito, and Double Clapperz. Tom has previously managed a significant private collection of contemporary art and has been involved professionally in the NFT space since 2019. Now Head of Communications and Content at Zien.
